Times are hard. Nearly 1 on every 2 Americans is now poor or low-income. Their stories must be told. The “Manufacture of Poverty” needs to exposed. Journalists who do this are unemployed. The media industry that has been shedding jobs at breakneck speed. That’s why we’re recruiting laid-off or underemployed writers and other content creators to report our stories and why we have made compensating them fairly a central mission of the Reporting Project. Please consider helping us.
We’re funded entirely by contributions from individuals and foundations so we welcome donations to the Institute for Policy Studies in support of our work.
