Invisible Citizens: Poverty and Poor Children Off Radar Screen at Presidential Debate

So true but in my opinion Obama with all his faults is the better choice. He did not create this recession Bush/ Rove did by deregulating the banks as did Clinton. But Obama has been trying to bring back regulation – remember they turned down Elizabeth Warren because they knew she was not afraid to take on Wall St? And remember Bush’s ownership society? He left out the predatory lending part and the selling of trillions in toxic assets that Standard & Poors and Moody’s gave triple A ratings to. And the trillion + dollar war that Bush got us into based on lies that has left tens of thousands crippled that is also a huge cost to us. Then there was the big pharma give away by Bush that was never paid for.
So in my opinion no president that has any interest in the uplifting of people could undo all the damage that Bush and Clinton did in only 4 yrs. And with a congress who is at war with Obama and will do ANYTHING to defeat him including steal the election getting anything good done is a miracle. And when the dems had both houses the GOP filibustered more than in any time in history and used sleazy tactics like the secret hold.
Hey Obama is all we have going for us now in my opinion and considering he was left a steaming hot mess when he got into office we should give him four more years to try and make things better for us. they already are getting better.
Bush and Romney will (he said so) cut student loans buy 200 million dollars and Obama restored it. My daughter whould have never gotten through college and gone on to a great career if it wasn’t for Obama. Romney said he would cut our student loans, govt help to states, business exemptions and increase our taxes as he gives more tax cuts to the top. Obama couldn’t be worse than Romney/Rove – remember Rove?
And the thought of stuffing the courts with more like Scalia more that favor the corporations and the rich like Citizens United which Obama wants to amend is a terrifying thought.
Anyone who thinks that it’s OK to have 51+ million with no health care and our current system of insurance companies that won’t take people with pre existing conditions and who don’t cover catastrophic conditions is horrible and leads to millions of needless deaths. Maybe even someone you know or someone who is close to you could be a victim. Anyone who can defend someone who was out and out caught saying that 47% of Americans are trash is not fit to be president. Some one who bullied gay kids and dressed up in a phony state troopers outfit just to harass people does not seem fit to be president.
But the American people seem to have some sort of dementia because they forget everything Romeny and Ryan and this congress have been saying about women, Hispanics, the middle class, the poor and blacks.
With one agressive pitch by the loser from MA who left MA in a hole the American people were seduced. And that’s what Romney good at, taking apart things, enriching himslef and his friends and leaving the business, state or nation bankrupt. Romney even wanted to take apart GM. There are so many good things that Obama has done. When he got into office we were losing 600,000 jobs per day- that’s not happening anymore and the market was down to 6500 – it;s now over 13,000 but the GOP and Romney never mention that. Why do you think corporations are pouring billions into defeating Obama? Because they care about you and me and the 99% so much. Come on wake the F**K up!!!!!
Who wants a President who supports stealing an election? Someone like Bush who stole 2 and left us in a deep crisis. As bad as the Great Depression
