EHRP Featured on Sree Sreenivasan’s COVID19 Show

Our executive director Alissa Quart and managing director David Wallis recently spoke with digital media expert Sree Sreenivasan about economic hardship during the coronavirus outbreak, and what we’re doing to help journalists afflicted by the virus.

We also spoke with EHRP contributor Camille Sweeney, who, along with photographer Bryan Anselm, profiled six Americans who suddenly lost their jobs due to the pandemic. One of her subjects, a bartender named Rebecca Leigh Silverman, also came on Sree’s show to tell us how she is coping in these trying times. Watch the full discussion below on YouTube.

Save An Endangered Species: Journalists

The Economic Hardship Reporting Project supports independent journalists so they can create gripping stories which often counter the typical disparaging narratives about inequality. This high-quality journalism is then co-published with mainstream media outlets mobilizing readers to address systemic economic hardship.
