EHRP-Supported Stories Win Three LA Press Club Awards

EHRP-supported projects took home three awards at the Los Angeles Press Club’s 62nd Southern California Journalism Awards in a virtual ceremony held on August 29.

Annabelle Gurwitch took second place in the Columnist category for newspapers with circulation over 50,000 with her essay “They were homeless. I took them in. Would you?

Eric Pape won third place in the Medical/Health Reporting category for “Scared to Death: Immigrants in Need of Health Care Face Perilous Choices” while Amy DePaul, Rian Dundon, and Gema Galiana were awarded third place in the Online News Feature – General News category for their photo essay titled “Honoring the Workers Killed on the Job.”
