Monica Prelle’s “Ski communities are ‘getting crunched on all sides’“, a story we proudly co-published with Adventure Journal last year, won a second-place prize in the Outdoor Writers Association of California’s 2021 Excellence in Craft Awards competition, the organization announced on June 1. Prelle’s piece, which was later reprinted in High Country News, won second place in the Feature Article category.
