Our executive director Alissa Quart has been nominated for the Bart Richards Award for Media Criticism for two columns she wrote for EHRP and the Columbia Journalism Review: “Against ‘poor’ reporting” and “Let’s make journalism work for those not born into an elite class.” Presented annually at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., the award recognizes “distinguished contributions to the improvement of print and broadcast journalism through responsible analysis or critical evaluation,” according to the Penn State University website.
