Simmons Harris is a family caregiver in Minnesota who had to stop working to care for her son (now an adult) who has a severe disability. She’s also a director on the board of The Arc, and works with organizations including Family Voices of Minnesota and the Collaborative Improvement and Innovation Network to Advance Care for Children with Medical Complexity. part of Boston University’s School of Social Work. Additionally, Simmons Harris is a public policy advocate working with Workers Advisory Group for Paid Leave for All.
